The Musée du Louvre is not the only star of the Tuileries Quarter.
You can wander down through the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and through the Tuileries Gardens. This historical garden is one of the most beautiful in Paris. It features neatly manicured lawns, tree-lined pathways, fountains, and an impressive collection of sculptures, including works by Rodin and Maillol. There is plenty of seating and it’s a great place to relax, take a walk or enjoy a picnic.
Across the Rue de Rivoli you find the Jardin du Palais Royal and the Comédie-Française.
The Palais Royal Gardens are now surrounded by houses on three sides where you will find restaurants, art galleries, bookstores and other specialist shops.
